How do you think Phil Hernon would...

Judging from what we have seen ,Phil had the size, thickness and symmetry and the freaky look to do well in any show he did.How do you think he would of done at the last 5 Olympias ?I think he woudl of been in top 10 for sure and perhaps in top 5...i think Ronnie,Jay,Ruhl and Gunter would of given him a run ,even though i know Phil was better conditioned they ever were, but i think the other guys(Martinez,Jackson,Charles ect..) that are in it would be too small for the size and condition Phil obviously can get in...What do you guys think ?

If any one has pics they can post for those who do not or can not remember what Phil looked like that would be nice to add to this post...thanks

I guess i was having one of those "i wonder " moments...

We still do not see leg development like that to this day...Phil is a humble guy,as we all know,so i am not sure if we could get more then a "who knows" out of him..

If i had a look i wanted and a goal to shoot for his look "IS" it..

My opinion

I would in all honesty do about as well as Craig titus when he is at his best. What show was he at his best? San Fran in 2001? My favorite BBer today, besides Ronnie Coleman of course, is Dennis James. I think he is complete, huge and ripped. I would want to look like that if I ever came back. I am not sure I could look like that and be as healthy or live as long as I would like to.

Absolutely positively untrue Phil, no way in hell! Titus back in the day got in great condition and had the marketable look--he was a study in how bodybuilders should market themselves (many amateur covers, and alot of publicity) but lets run thru it shall we

Front double bicep--titus is annihilated due to your sheer size and flaring lats
front lat spread--again destroyed due to his flat chest and lacking lats
side chest--crushed
abs and thighs--your straight across abs and thighs against his--again he gets beat
rear lat spread--crushed
back double bi--probably could get close to you here due to his hamstrings which are very good but he would get killed on back thickness
side tricep --he has great triceps--so lets throw a tie in here for his sake
most muscular---not even a freaking question or close call there

Phil its a great attribute, modesty, but i dont think youve ever taken a good look at your physique at its best as if you were truly looking at someone else. Theres a huge reason bodybuilders in the 90's still whisper Phil Hernons name and your held in a such high regard, because everyone wonders "what could of been" because that guy was a freak (you).........Do you see other bodybuilders a decade ago still being mentioned like you do? I see vic richards mentioned, a lil strydom, a lil mendenhall but mainly its you and Vic---theres a reason for that Phil. Trust me I interviewed or talked to all those former amateurs and now pros you competed against in the USA's and Nat's when you were coming up and you were the one guy everyone was fucking scared shitless of. Your weakness wasnt any bodypart--everything was freaky huge, round as all hell, you were the big nasty noone wanted to stand next to....your weakness was "will hernon come dialed in or not"....If you put your physique dialed in up against anyone in the top 10 in the Olympia for the last decade I see you going toe to toe with dorian and toe to toe with the current top 4. You say you like Dennis James physique but Phil put yourself in shredded condition up next to Dennis and you have better quads, way better abs, both with really round chests and delts, backs are even and Dennis might have the slight edge on arms, but overall--you have James beat. Its as simple as that Phil. Do you think if titus dissapeared back in 95 people would still be talking about him and what damage he could of done? Hell no. Its got to hit home with you one of these days Phil that theres a huge reason why you still hold a huge following and a mystique in peoples minds.

i dont really think phil realizes how great he looked and could still look if he chose to..

theres nothing better than a good comeback....especially whippin titus.

going by what i've seen

I would say he'd be one of the very top guys on the scene without question.
