How high do you guys bring the bar to when doing front barbell shoulder raises?

When you guys do front barbell or front dumbbell shoulder raises, where do you bring the bar to? Do you bring the bar to shoulder height where your arms are parallel to the floor or do you bring it higher to say eye level? What would be better if your goal is to really work the front delts rather than really work the middle traps?
 
I use a combo, seems to work better for me than just one height. I'll go all the way up (over my head), then eye level, Then really heavy to pec level. Or do it one way one day and dif the next.
 
About up to my chin, I find if I do it any higher my center of gravity changes and the weight pulls me forward and other muscles try and compensate for the lack of balance.
 
I love that exercise but it gives me pain in my shoulder joint.
