how much protein do YOU eat daily...

Some are big belivers in high protein 500g+ and some can grow of around 250g...


i weigh 200lbs and i eat around 300g a day... some say that its not enough and i have a real hard time getting in more than 300g... so im a little curious how much protein you guys take in?
 
I'm 245lbs and eat 350g a day.
I feel it is overkil, but I like to make sure I get what I nead
 
I'm ~200 lbs and clean - taking in ~275-300g protein. The killer, while being clean, is AVOIDING simple sugars :( :p

When I'm on gear. I take it up to 325-350g protein. I seem to put on too much fat if I go 400g +
 
I get anywhere from 425-475g daily. Almost double bodyweight but not quite. If I'm taking in too much, so be it. I'm more happy with taking in too much than too little. You guys taking in this much must also make sure to be taking in tons of water along with it, that's of the utmost importance. It's really not that hard to take in this amount after you've done it for a while, but it gets monotonous day in/day out.
 
Anywhere from 325g to 450g, depending on whether its a training day or not.
 
More carbs, less proteins!

What really matters is to be in an anabolic state with enough carbs and fats from your diet, an efficient stimulation from training and some good sleep. That way you don't need to ingest insane amounts of proteins to grow: a moderate consumption (1.5 g/lbs body weight) should ensure you that your body will get all the benefits without wasting money, and possibly (?) damage your kidneys.

In fact, i never got fatter than when i was eating 600 g + protein a day :eek:

58g fat
will change in a few weeks but it works for now!
 
I am in contest prep

I was 209lbs yesterday morning and I am eating 300-350grams, I sometimes go higher on weekends (good ole chicken)
I only use 2 servings of whey daily so the butcher loves me.

Many grams might be ok for someone and not someone else.

It depends upon many factors as to how much protein one should be ingesting a day. I would say on average between 25 to 45 percent of total calories. Without timing carbs and fats, protein can be rendered pretty much useless, as far as muscle building goes, the more you take.
 
250-300, all a college kid can afford.. protein is too damn expensive

You say it will change. Are you dieting down now and will change to bulking?
 
i'd say 150 grams tops... and yes i do well on it. i think protein is wasted fopr the most past once you reach the mega numbers.

Hey guys.
Im 200 lbs and dieting down.
I take in 422g protein, 311g carbs and 58g fats.
The fat is shredding off and Im still putting lean muscle on :)

Are you adding in more good carbs on those lower days?
