I know I have read some good and bad reviews on this. But my problem is I want to get some protein in me first thing when I wake up.(30 min window) I have tried the cold powder and water or milk and all it does is cramp me up and give me the runs first thing in the AM. I have tried to warm up the milk a little and mix with powder and WHAM same thing. Now I get up about 6:30 and get to work at 8am. If I have the shake around 10am I am good. No problem. But I need to take something as soon as I am up and out of bed.

Can I get away with having one or two of these tube right next to my bed so when I get up I can chug them down quickly? Are they bad to use first thing in the AM? It's my last hope of getting something down the throat that won't cause me cramps or runs.

p.s. I always eat breakfast but it's around 8am when I get to work.
 
I use these and like them a lot. Pricey, but very easy way to take down some protein quickly. I'd like to hear some of the vets opinion on these.
 
You are correct you heard some bad some good, if you do a search there is another thread with alot of the info you request. I even placed a study on it to show that the type of protein they use is ok to a point but not so much muscle building. Let me see if I can find and I will post it.

Im using it right now,i like it but isnt it whey isolate?(why collagen protein?)-i dont see it on their label.i use the 42grams "vial"-and drink half of it,and then i take 4-tbsp. of LBA'S with it(to match the protein requirement for that meal).
 
Soooooo can I use it in the AM? lol Like I said, just in the AM. Something to help me get by first thing?
 
If you want to get some protein into you fast then it would have to be LBA's. You will feel something pretty damn quick!
 
try drinking some sugar free jello in the middle of the night I would imagine you will get simmilar results.

There was a post on this before and some knuckehead was arguing with me about it. it collegen. if you want to take collegen eat some jello. can it help your joints? maybe , nails and hair...proly. is it a good choice for protien? no.
 
I LIKE THEM.. THERE QUICK AND EASY!! WISH THE PRICE WOULD COME DOWN SOME THO..
 
I wanted to bump this and get any other opinions on the quality of protein in these. I am just attracted to how convenient they could be. For example I went to the Bucs game today and could have easily smuggled one or two of them in with me. Instead I had to destroy two giant turkey legs :D

I agree, not that I'm a expert...I have tried these on trips where I might be without food and I think their ok for keeping your body from eating itself if your in a jam, but I wouldn't rely on them. I'm queasy in the morning sometimes and I like to have a little oatmeal just to get me started and 15 min later I have a shake. This may help your stomach get settled and ready for your shake. Also, if I'm not mistaken you need some carbs in your liver when you wake. Others that are more experienced can elaborate.

That's exactly what you should have done...unless they dip'm in chocolate.

dude if you needed a meal would you eat a bowl of jello? cause FOR THE LAST TIME THAT IS WHAT IS IN THE IDS CRAP TUBE!
 
I shot them an email today and asked if they would clear up some of the misconseptions over this product. Truths or falsehoods. If they respond back I'll post exactly what their answers were. (never hurts to hear it right from the horses mouth huh?)
 
Try SynthePURE and water. Your stomach should be fine with that.
