if anyone could figure out why I'm holding water I'd like to know!!

Ok, I started the first 6 wks of my contest diet running just prop (400mg/wk) low dose clen, and Exemastane. I started getting pretty lean and hard really fast, even some striations in the delts. Ok, fast forward now, I'm 6 wks out. I added oil based QV winny at 100mg eod 2 wks ago, and tren hex at about 300mg/wk 2 wks ago. I switched from Exemastane to some 10mg BD Aromasyn tabs, little green ones. Now, I'm losing a little weight, and I'm getting leaner/harder in most places besides the abdomen. It does not make much sense to me as I am dieting harder than hell, doing more cardio, and down right f'in starving. Protein still high (roughly 300 grams/day) carbs fairly low at around 150 grams/day now, and fats extremely minimal, about 20 grams/day if that. Just slight layer of water I had not noticed a couple wks ago. So at this point I'm wondering a few things. #1- Could it be because I'm not on clen anymore? #2- is the tren hex and oil based winny somehow doing it? #3- could it be elevated progesterone levels? I'm fucking clueless, I was going to just drop every damn thing at 2 wks out and hit the fuck outta aromasyn. I think that liquid Exemastane might have had something to do with it, maybe the quality was better>? I'm almost starting to think the f'in BD aromasyn tabs are bunk, it was from a reputable source but damn if this shit didnt seem to start as soon as I dropped the liquid and switch to BD tabs. Anyone?
 
id hit up the fat a little more KEEP IT MONO! and possibly lower carbs see if that does the trick, carbs make me bloated maybe its the same for you, ALSO look out for salt (just a friendly reminder) but def up that fat drink that fish oil and mac. nut oil.....you will get crazy vascular and strength to get that meann look right before comp. and every week from now on id drop carbs 25grs every week until you hit 25-50grs youll notice a huge difference, but exchange 25gr you take off and add it between the fat and protein (25 divided by 2 = 17.5gr)

i agree the water has to be diet related you should be dry as a bone on that cycle
 
You have not told us how much water and sodium you are taking in. Mainly how much water you are drinking daily! try taking around 500mg b6 every day. Up your water intake so that when you cut water your body will react better. To get rid of excess water you actually drink more water. There is most likely an electrolyte imbalance here. Try adding a little sodium to your diet and drink more water. Mind you this is just a guess as to what is out of whack, sodium? potassium? magnesium? all of them? none of them? to us we would just be guessing. But I am reasonably confident that it is not the gear. See how it goes.
 
It has nothing to do with you holding MORE water... you're probably holding THE SAME IF NOT A LESSER amount of water you used to a few weeks ago.

BUT since you're low in carbs your abs are glycogen depleted, therefore flat and much smaller than at the start of the diet... they don't push against the skin anymore which makes the fat (cos it's not water only, don't kid yourself) and the water attached to it much more visible.

Cardio and the cortisol release happening when you practice it is also a water retention factor.

Once you get leaner (ie lose fat... abdomen is the last place to come for most men), and fill out those abs a bit, you'll see that your mid-section will look much better.

Not a matter of gear at all.

Yes, sounds exactly dead on!!! Ur right, I'm getting leaner but abs look flatter,smaller. I had my last cheat meal the other day (only 3 cheat meals in past 8 wks) and next day looked much better even abs. I'm dropping cardio 2 wks out this year, once I drop my test and cardio I think I'll come around the last couple wks really fast, thanx again Phidias, this sounds like a perfectly reasonable explanation

Hence why you tend to look like a saggy old man on keto-diets. They should call it the "excess skin diet" from now on :st:r-wars
 
funny thing is my carbs are no THAT LOW. Here is my diet layout

meal 1- 12 egg whites scambled
1 cup oats

meal 2- 50 gram protein shake
5 oz potato

meal 3- 8 oz chicken or 9 oz steak
5 oz potato

TRAIN

meal 4- 2 packs instant flavored oatmeal
50 gram protein shake


meal 5- same as meal 3

meal 6- 12 egg whites

protein- around 300 grams carbs-165 grams, fats- under 20 grams


When I started this diet I had the potato's at 8 oz portions, and the oatmeal in the morning at 1 1/2 cups rather than 1. a few wks into it I dropped the potatos to 6 oz servings, and then 5 oz servings. I seem to be doing quite well on no fats so I did not add any as of yet. Being that I'm on such low fats I think what I'm going to do is jack the carbs back up to where they were at the beginning of the diet, but increase the cardio to 5-6x/wk instead of 3-4. Also, going back to 2 on/1 off training days(except for cardio) Going more than 2 training days in a row at this point is not helping my body replenish glycogen stores. Phidias nailed it, I know it!! Guy is on the money about this, its not the diet and not the gear. I was debating on dropping the flavored oats but they are not really hurting me and have not since the diet started. I keep coming in leaner every week, just slight layer on me now. Thanx everybody, will keep ya posted!!
