why? because combined with high protein it’s the quickest way to add muscle mass.
Someone may not agree, but examples speaks for themselves and I don’t even know from where to start… adding muscle requires a lot of time and patience, but there are a lot young guys whose are weighting solid 250-300+ solid pounds, some of them may have very good genetics, some takes a lot off drugs, but the main common thing between them – mass building diet…for example Steve Kuclo, he’s 23 I think weights 280-290 in the offseason and eats up to 800 carbs a day! Have you ever seen him fat? NOO! Maybe a little bit bloated but not fat…Trey Brewer would be another example – young, mass monster and eats tons off carbs, yea he’s carrying a lot of fat in the offseason, but he has put on tons off muscle on high carbs…Irish (I think) Rob Terry at 22-23 was weighting over 300 solid pounds, his offseason diet is very high in carbs too…Justin Harris sais that he has added 45 pounds comp weight over 3 years, I think everyone knows him and how he did it – tons off rice, oatmeal and vitargo. Was he ever fat? Never...Jay Cutler turned pro at 23 y/o and as he said the main thing why he got his pro card was his diet and how his diet looks like? Yep – very HIGH carb, Chris Aceto mentioned that at that time he has put Jay on 1000g carb diet – which none had tried it before. Aleksey Lesukov – young, massive and eating tons off starchy carbs in the offseason…Phil Heath – will be one of the youngest Mr Olympias ever (If not youngest), eats 600+ carbs when putting on mass. 21 years old Canadian Michael Vaillant – weights up to 280 pounds offseason lean-on high carb, Ben Pakulski loves high carbs, at 20 he was 250. Eddie Abbew added more than 140 pounds of muscle in his first years of training on high starchy carb, high protein diet. Ty Young got over 300 at 22 y/o on high carb diet.
Now mass monsters over 250pds-
Ruhl…TONS of carbs
Dennis Wolf - same
Stuart Core…British amateur over 300 pounds offseason, eats 500-700g carbs a day
Luke Wood, also mass monster which used to eat very very high starchy carbs
Guy Shaffer – VERY big guy, VERY high carb eater
Robert Burneika – used to be over 300pounds in the offseason, biggest arms in business and eats 1000g carbs
Dazz Ball…huge UK bodybuilder, nearly 300pounds contest condition, massdiet – up to 700g carbs
Dorian Yates – VERY high carb offeason, even precontest no less than 450g
Spanish M.Chacon – big, massive guy build on very high carb
Evgenij Mishin – at his highest bodyweight (350 or so) used to eat 1.5kg rice
Martin Kjelstrom was super high carb eater before he met palumbo
T.Prince, Abiad, James, Atwood And so on…
If 9 out of 10 physiques were built on very high starchy carb, high protein diets how it can be diet which doesn’t work? Each of them were bloated or fat in the past, so if the guys with best genetics in the world can’t build massive body without getting bloated or fat, how can it be done by the average guy from the board?
