insulin and ketosis

Alright I've tried using slin to get me back into ketosis after refeed.Did 3iu's 4 shots sunday every 2 hours woke up and still negative so I get home and do it again and nothing again.Why is that happening what am I doing wrong?
 
You don't need insulin to get you into ketosis. Thats a dangerous game IMO. If you are following a TRUE Keto type diet, and you did a "refeed" for a day, it will take you about 3 days(average) to get you back into ketosis, depends on the person. If you only had 1 cheat meal and you are not back in ketosis the next day, then you were probably not in ketosis to begin with. If you post up you daily diet, we could help you a little more.
 
thanks bro,but yea I was into ketosis and I know the dangers not looking for lecture just help!Don't wanna wait 3 days wanna experiment w/different things for this comp as I did the same thing for the last 2.Wanna try and go 7days before refeed as opposed to 4 days as I've been doing.
 
If it worked for you last time, then why change?? And I know you don't want a lecture, but I have seen so many people try this and end up screwing it up and waste valuable time trying to correct their silly mistake. The key to dieting is "low and slow." Stick to the diet and don't worry about getting into ketosis in a day, just take your time. If you need to shed more body fat, then use protein/veggie day vs. protein/fat days. 1 to 1 to start and then 2 to 1 and so on.
 
LOL yea your right why change,but I can't help it want to improve more,but it's my first year and I'll maybe just experiment w/diets in the winter.I don't need to lose anything really I'm still maintaining about 6-10 lbs. above contest weight and hold that for 6 more weeks.No problem figured I had time to mess around w/it.I'll try what you suggested
 
If you're only 6-10 lbs above contest weight, there's no need to jeopardize that by doing something that may prove to be counterproductive in the long run. There's no real shortcut. Everything worth anything takes hard work and cutting corners will only result in injuries and or illness.
 
agree with the above posters, but r u 6-10 pounds of fat over contest or 6-10 pounds of water u will lose? if it is fat, drop those last few in the next 3-4 weeks and maintain till contest time
 
Yea it's fat and it isn't a problem losing it.I don't know just wanted to try different things.Bro I know all about hard work and wasn't cutting corners.Don't need to!Just wanted to experiment w/different things.THAT"S ALL!Thanks for replies fellas.................Craig
