KFC Grilled Chicken

I love it! I am forced to eat out quite a bit due to my job and I have been hitting the KFC grilled Hard.

I normally get a couple breasts with some green beans and corn. According to the profile on the kfc website each breast has 35 grams of protein.

**broken link removed**

whatcha think of its nutritional profile?

Very cool. Im in the same boat. I have to eat out at least once per day. If I hit subway I get their chicken breast sub and have em put a little marinara sauce on it. Its a salt bomb but still somewhat clean with a good 50g protein for a footlong.

Also, el pollo loco has a 2piece breast that has gotta be at least 10oz total of clean white meat. Cheap too. I'll have to give KFC's a try. 440mg sodium isnt bad for a 35g protein breast either.

Dude, that is NOT chicken breast lol

Offseason yeah that is cool...

Precontest there is no way I would eat that !!!

Shit im looking at my double chicken breast sub right now and contiplating if it really is chicken.

You're good to go. I eat those sandwiches all the time so I have to back you up on this one. Otherwise, I might start questioning what almost appears to be various bits of white meat compressed in such a fashion to form a perfectly uniform chicken breast where each and every breast has the same size and shape. Uh oh! See what you got me doing.

I hate the little gristle chunks you get in them sometimes. Who knows if its gristle, could be cartlige or even plastic.

Chicken huh?

If you go to page 14 of the 37 page ingredient statement listed on KFC's website, you'll see "Beef Powder & Rendered Beef Fat" listed among the ingredients for their grilled chicken. I mean if you're eating KFC, you aren't in contest prep mode lol, but having my chicken soaked in the melted fat of a cow then sprinkled with powdered cow just strikes me as odd

eat it all the time...only thing is has to be fresh..if not it sits in that oven and drys out. alot of the time i will call in advance and see if they are grilling any fresh stuff

how hard is it to grill a couple pounds of chicken at a time and put it in tupperware? and then make a big pot of rice thats lasts a few days. add some chicken broth to keep it moist and your good to go.

A giant rice cooker is such a great investment. I make a huge pot of rice about twice a week and pack my meals for work.

Some days I will take the rice and have some chicken from the night before and throw that on top.

Other days I will take the rice and just open a can of tuna and throw it in with the rice. A little hot sauce and cheese if I want to spoil myself.

On the best of "cheat" days I will fry the rice in a wok with a little olive oil. I then cook a few eggs in a separate skillet, cut up the egg and throw it in with the rice which is still in the wok. Next comes the scallions and finally some soy sauce. The end result is a somewhat healthy egg fried rice which you can throw some tuna or chicken into if you need to up the protein content.

As for the KFC...... I love me some Colonel but I always think of the South Park episode "The Death of Eric Cartman" and can't eat it anymore. :D

man that sounds pretty good!

Yep, it has beef fat on it so there is no way in hell I would eat that shit again. I tried it once before I knew this to see what all the hype was about. It tastes awful and it's very high in sodium as well. It's a lot cheaper going to the store, getting some chicken breasts and throwing it on the grill yourself.

I found it to be just as greasy as the friend stuff...it's not truly grilled either....and the taste was horrible. I'd just assume eat the original or krispy recipe if I were going to eat at KFC.

Difference

If you are going to eat KFC, its obvious to eat the grilled.

True, if kfc was your only choice. The thought that they still use beef fat to coat the grilled breasts and claim that it's still healthy appalls me.

I'm forced to eat out four to five days a week since my job requires travel every week. So my staples are this, RICE, TUNA, PROTIEN SHAKES and VPX BARS....then if I eat out i always get a chicken breast with no buns and some sort of vegi side and worse case a baked potato. If you travel with TUNA and RICE you can always stay on diet track and when in a pinch for a meal and can not open the tuna or make rice eat the bars or shakes.
