I'm looking into getting some knee sleeves just to keep the joints warm, and i'm looking for suggested brands, and suggestions on sizing, so let's hear it guys
You'll want to get them to fit pretty damn tight. When you first put them on they wont be broken in and will be a little uncomfortable but after you use them a while they will stretch out and fit much better. As far as sizing, no one can really help without a measurement of the circumference of your quad about 3-4 inches north of your knee cap.
ELite makes some doubles too. They are 35$ for a pair i think... Reband's are the way to go in most cases but my god are they pricey.. APT, elite an the TK sleeves are super thick..
I have apt single and double ply sleeves. Singles are great for warmth. I can leave them on for my whole workout. The doubles are more like wearing wraps, I have to pull them down in between sets or lose circulation. I think the single ply would be great for what you are looking for.
I have some screwed up knees and I have used alot of knee sleeves. APT double ply convicts were extremely tight in XL! so tight it cut off my dam circulation almost. The single ply ones are good.
I am using tommy konos now and like them alot! they dont provide a ton of support but they really keep your knees warm
that's each... rehbands are twice the price of anything else. The nylon lining on the inside gives them a little more life than the konos that are only lined on the outside. but the kono's are half the price.
jackal still has the older rehbands for sale, the blues, which are a better product than the newer grey ones.
another option that might be locally available are the mcdavids.
If you are canadian then elitefts is pointless as they refuse to ship usps. UPS doubles the prices by fucking us with a 35 brokerage fee on a 35 purchase.
The important first question is do you want support or warmth. The neoprene sleeves are designed for warmth.
