Received some Letrozole capsules from a highly recommended source that is well known on several different boards. When I ordered it, I ordered "letrozole tablets" as advertised. But capsules were delivered. Which is no big deal. The capsules are 2.5 mg each, and since I wanted to take doses much smaller than that I decided to open a capsule and divide it into several separate smaller doses. When I took the first does, a VERY small amount of the powder I got the distinct taste of BAKING SODA in my mouth. The next day I put enough powder into my palm to get a GOOD taste and I feel pretty sure it is baking soda. Afterwards I compared the taste and texture to some actual baking soda and it seems exactly the same.
I think that many people may know who I purchased these tablet from. I'm not ready to say that I was ripped off by that supplier, but now I'm suspicious. Does anyone know what Letro powder tastes like? Or if baking soda is used as filler for it in capsules? These capsules are about 5/8" long and I don't know how much space 2.5mg would take up in one of them.
Anyone that has an informed answer on this would be appreciated. It would be especially good if that supplier could clear this up.
