Male Hormone Replacement - Low Test - High Estrogen

A friend recommended this site, so I just registered and this is my first post. I'm male, 49 yrs old and have lifted for a number of years. About 18 months ago I got more serious and hired a trainer, as I wanted to take things to the next level. I've learned a LOT from my trainer and have made ok progress, but it's coming very slowly. Several months ago, my trainer had me go in and get my testosterone checked and it came back low. I don't remember the number, but the DR gave me a prescription for some testosterone. A couple weeks back I went in for a follow up and my test came back much better, but we also tested my estrogen and that came back HIGH. So, my doctor gave me a prescription for some Arimidex. The doctor has be on 1cc of testosterone once a week, which I'm ok with and 1/2 tablet of Arimidex 2x a week. My question is this, how long will it take before the Arimidex has an effect on my estrogen? I've been eating incredibly clean and doing cardio 4-5x a week and am wondering if the the Arimidex will help me shed some body fat.

The arimidex works quickly. Your estrogen levels should be dropping with it's use. It isn't like a long acting ester which takes time to build.

Thanks for the information.

Will I notice any change in my body fat percentage? If so, how soon will it be noticeable? Any ideas? That's one of the reasons we decided to try an estrogen blocker.
