Need to Know "How" You Feel Lba's work

I'm gonna be using them starting next week,and I've heard so many reviews of how great they are and how much of an improvement they make to your physique,but How? How do they improve the physique?Improved body composition(as in increases fat burning)?If so how?Do they improve strength in the gym?Again if so how?Increase size(or weight)well I think that ones obvious,but what about the above? In what way do they improve things.

Yeah I know they are a complete protein,and a better way of getting your protein intake,but how exactly do they do the above.How are they "THAT" good??
 
Do a search for LBA's and you will find hundreds of posts all about this. I'm not being a dick here but this topic has been covered quite well in past threads. But I will say you will not be disappointed. :D
 
For me:
-more vascular
-train less and still maintain muscle (had to stop training for a month and didn't lose much)
-overall feel better
-honestly don't need additional protein supplements
-and they taste good (2 cases choc and 1 van, liked them both)

only problem i found, when you come off...the effects go away :( so obviously never go off

people noticed when your on them...because when your off of them for a couple months people start asking what you were using during the spring/summer.

Forgive me here, but two things I can't stand about message boards:

1. People bumping their own posts IN LESS THAN 24 hours

2. People who make impulse purchases and then question their purchase after the fact.

Having said that, I'd like to say that asking the question of "How do I know the LBA's will WORK" is like asking "How do I know that going to school will guarantee me a job?".

You're providing your body with the raw materials to build muscle. In this case, you chose to augment that process by including LBA's. So, you decided that the extra protein from LBA's will allow you to build muscle possibly faster and more efficiently than taking food and other supplements alone.

That's why you made the purchase, right?

But if your training already SUCKS, and your diet isn't up to par, and you're not sure exactly what YOUR GOALS ARE, then you can't expect the LBA's to give you all of the things you asked for in your initial post!

You made the purchase, so why not ask Phil directly how to use them? He's going to tell you how to take them and help you get the most out of them. When I purchased them (3 cases about 2 years ago) I made good improvements --- BUT --- I already had my training and diet up to par and needed to see if this addition would help me out by possibly allowing me to eat less food and still hold the muscle, or maybe get me a bit more cut - whatever. The fact is, whether it was the placebo effect or sheer will, when I took them, they benefitted me. That's the bottom line.

You're going to benefit from them if you take them the way that Phil suggests and you are consistent. But if your training and food intake sucks, don't expect this to help you at all.
 
The first thing I noticed was increased vascularity. The next thing I noticed was that I seemed to be getting leaner. I love them for dieting, they will take care of your protein requirements so you don't have to eat too many calories to get your protein. I could easily drink a bottle a day if I could afford it.
 
See,now here's the problem - people not reading posts properly.I know there's been loads of posts about lba's(I've read most of them),but in all the posts I've read,they've told about what they do,but not HOW,which is what I was asking - HOW do they make you more vascular?HOW do they increase your strength in the gym(if they do),HOW do they help you lose bf etc.There's not one post(that I've read,and I've read most),that gives these answers,so in future,before you try to give someone advice on this board,at least have the decency to read the post properly FIRST.I'm not a newbie to training(been at it for 21 yrs),and I'm not new to this board either(been reading much longer than I've been posting),so don't try to make me out like some newbie cos I'm not.

As for you Brooklyn,there's things on boards that I can't stand either but sometimes we have to put up with it - that's life.Secondly,I only bumped my post so soon cos I'm from the UK and being several hrs in front of you Americans,I was hoping to get an answer before going to bed(which would be hrs before you lot).That is all.And I didn't ask How do I know lba's will work,I asked How DO they work,so you really need to learn how to read properly before being so flippant!!!!

I bought mine to use for dieting without trying to stave off catabolism as much as possible. Have not cut "clean" in over a decade but will this time and am hoping to meet protein requirements with minimum calories, seemed like a good option.

Verifiable- no this product will never be actually PROVEN (not saying it doesnt work, saing it has not been and wont be proven) double blind studies anyone? no.

reproducable- results seem to be reproducible.

objetive mesurements- losing inches, gaining inches, etc..

2 of the three are there, but not all so this product CANNOT be backed up by "science"

I am saying they DO work. I am also saying there is no science to back them up...

I kinda feel bad for Phil b/c it seems that every couple months a LBA post pops up with someone demands answers :D

I used a case of LBA's and I've used powder BCAA's (I get 'em from true pro)---

a quality bcaa product can make a nice addition to a well structured diet and training regimen. The LBA's are amino acids derived from beef extract; they have 5 grams of glycerol and 5 g bcaa per tblspn. The glycerol will increase vascularty pretty quickly. whether it's LBA's or powdered BCAA's-- it's not some magic bullet and will not work miracles. BCAA's, for me, are great when used before, during, and right after a workout. 10-15 grams before a morning cardio session, or 10-20 grams between meals when dieting will make a very nice difference in your recovery and help hold muscle.

I prefer the powered BCAA's...I like the taste of LBA's, but don't like to use so much glycerol (my stomach reminds me of such :( ).

bottom line-- Get some LBA's and try them for a few weeks- maybe a couple months. Then try powdered BCAA's in the same way. you rarely run into a serious lifter who does not benefit from BCAA supplementation.

Like I said, though, I don't think there is any magic here--- just amino acids

Yeah but if you read the actual post,then it is self explanitory.Nowhere in my post did I say "How do I know the lba's will work" now did I?? No I did not. Maybe the title could have been worded better,but if you read the damn post,then it explains exactly what I'm asking,which is completely different to what he "makes out" that I'm asking - two completely different things.Reading a post properly is not rocket science you know!!!!!

Who cares why or how they work as long as they actually DO work and do not harm your health?

I'm 100% with BrooklynBB on this one... pretty stupid to ask for facts about a product that you've already bought... those questions in your post should have been asked BEFORE the purchase :rolleyes:

Why?? I already know that they do work(seeing as I've read enough posts from people who have used them),I was just wondering how.Is it soo bad what I'm asking.Geez.So there is no need for me to ask before I bought them,as I already know what they can do.

Wow. Usually, you guys are really helpful but lately whenever someone asks questions about LBA's everyone gets their panties in a bunch. So what if people ask questions about them every other day? They're promoted here more than anywhere else so, naturally, peeps are going to have questions. You guys are better than this. I know this and that's what made me join this site and continue to visit.
Anyways Frank, I think they work because the glycerol forces the aminos into the muscle along with water and the other nutrients consumed. This will lead to enhanced strength and recovery/repair. Adding creatine would be a good idea, IMO. I'm not sure if LBA's are better than bulk BCAA's/whey w/glycerol
but I'm going to try both in the future and make up my own mind.
 
I agree with Bionic here. I think PART of the explanation is that the glycerol helps shuttle the nutrients into the muscle cell making them larger with super hydration and nutrition. I think that helps to explain the better pumps, muscle fullness and vascularity while using LBAs. I mean, when you think about it, isn't that roughly the same principle that gear works by? By increasing positive nitrogen retention and hydration in the muscle cell? And I know some people have commented, well I can get glycerol here and aminos there... but I don't think you can beat Phil's price per 16 ozs. LBAs don't cost anymore than some people spend on a big lunch at McDonalds everyday.

Thanks for that bionic,your right - people are going to ask questions about something that's pushed so much on here.Well said.It's not as if I asked the same question that has been asked a thousand times before.If that was the case,then it would be fair enough to answer the way you guys did,but the question was a completely new one.
