I hate when people qoute historical figures to try and make a point...First, Franklin and the framers didnt have the forsight to envision 250 years into the future and the troubles and enemies that would face the nation. They were never faced with people hijacking planes and crashing them into skyscrapers filled with civillians. War was civil then and you knew who your enemy was. People didn't strap dynamite to their body and walk into schools to blow them up. Second, if they were all these great minds for all times, why don't we go back to all other people counting as 3/5ths of a person. We dont because it was the best thinking of the time. They did have the forsight to allow the Constitution to be a living breathing entity that could be changed as the times change and peoples thinking

you dont have the freedom to bring explosives on a plane.!! ANY independant business should have the ability to dictate what freedoms you have in there establishment.. I cant bring my own popcorn and soda into the movie theatre, but if i want to see the movie before it is out on dvd.. My wife and I went to Mexico a couple of weeks ago for our anniversary and I was pulled out of the line, not once, not twice, but THREE times by U.S. and Mexico Customs Officers. Twice in Mexico and once back in the U.S. Did I care? NO! I felt it was a small price to pay for our safety. I even joked around with some of the other passengers and said I must look like a terrorist today. My only issue is that a 6'2" 240lb farmboy from the midwest doesn't quite fit the terrrorist "profile".
