no this is not a religion thread lol.. but, i just saw a very compassionate act done by my pitt sally.. our boxer mitzi had to have surgery and was very groggy and in a lot of pain.. she would not move from her bed.. sally was laying with her and licking her face and "grooming" her for quite a while while mitzi just sat there with her head down.. my wife calls me into the room and says "watch this".. sally goes over to the food bowl across the room and gathers up a bunch of food into her mouth.. walks back to mitzi's bed and dumps it out at mitzi's head.. sally and mitzi then eat it.. sally then goes back to her own bed and lays down.. my wife said she did that once before i got there also.. kinda cooll.. dont ya think??

I have 2 pits myself, A typical black and white american pit terrier and a red nose mix.. they are my children! they have been there for me through some seriously messed up situations.. they both like to hog the bed at night and they both figured out how to take the blanket and turn it into their own little makeshift fort when im not home.. smart bastards. they are the most loyal loving and mellow dog if raised in the right circumstances IMO dogs should be treated as a member of the family as in most cases they are considered as such.

Sounds EXACTLY like my pit. She always gets under the covers and its sooo funny watching her try to "flip" the blanket over her head for her to get under. I will be looking for her in the house and not even realize she is under the comforter and accidently plop down on her LOL.

My dog is the same way lats, whenever I am sick or not feeling well or sad, she can sense it and won't leave my side. They are great dogs they jsut require a little extra care and responsibility. Something a lot of people aren't able to give and except, that si why you hear about them in the news...irresponsible owners
