I never did anything for a woman really. I was always the worst boyfriend, at most I'd grudgingly buy her a CD or something. To me they were always like men who have very little muscle mass, a stinky hole where the penis normally is and a really bad case of gyno.
I think being too cerebral puts one at a disadvantage when it comes to these things. For instance, women love when you buy them flowers but I can't make myself do such a pointless thing more than once.
Eventually I realized that whenever I had a girlfriend I constantly found myself doing things I hate in exchange for sex. I was like an emotional hooker. Most of the things I enjoy doing are solitary in nature and when you have a girl you are always entertaining her and the worst part is you have to act like you enjoy it. Oh yes! It was wonderful to meet your family! It's like being in a 24/7 girl porn movie and not the good kind.
Having a girlfriend is great if you like doing things like taking stupid pictures in stupid places, meeting her stupid friends, going to stupid parties together, having conversations with someone who can't think or trying to make a good impression on fathers while feeling extremely awkward. It is also good if you have way too much time or money and need to get rid of it fast or you need someone to tell you what is wrong with you constantly because you have a bad memory and keep forgetting.
So then I realized that I was better off paying for it every once in a while. Remember, time is more valuable than money. Relationships start out being a better deal but the cost increases exponentially over time until it consumes all of a man's resources. Now my life is much better and I don't have to suffer anyone's bullshit in exchange for a warm hole.
It's also intensely liberating not having to care what women think of me. Sometimes a woman flirts and I say dryly "no thanks". Or she starts talking about her problems and I'm like whoa whoa get a fucking shrink ok? The look is priceless.
