Okay, definitely not as sexy or intriguing as the female BBer's thread, but definitely an oddity worthy of attention. For many years, a storm has been raging on Saturn at the northern magnetic pole. But it's not a circular storm or votex like we'd see here on Earth. It's in the shape of a hexagon. That's right. That means that for one reason or another, the 300+mph winds suddenly take a sharp 120degree turn at velocity at equal distances forming the shape we call a hexagon. What the hell could be causing it has even the greatest scientists and astronomers perplexed. It can't be a fluke occurance since it was first seen half a century ago.
Hexagons can form naturally by things such as sonic waves, crystalline structures, and buckyballs, to name a few.
I'm tending towards buckyballs (also know as Fullerenes). But whatever it is, it's all Bush's fault.
