Hi guys...eating all this rice is killing me...can you have to many oats in your diet...say if 70% of your carbs are from oats...is that a bad thing or not?

Peon is obviously bored.

Nothing wrong with eating mostly oats for your carb source. I'd say make sure you get some other stuff for variety though.

Oats is best taken in the morning because it's a slow digesting carbs, because you feel fuller during the day. What kind of rice are you eating? Also what about green vegetables? I think you really need to re-evaluate your diet. Also what is your current diet like?

I eat a lot of oats, usually 3-4 cups per day. They are one of my favorite carbohydrates. I do try to get 3-4 different sources of carbs into my diet every day during the offseason though. Oats, brown rice, whole wheat pasta, and Ezekial bread are my favorites.

its fine just switch it up from time to time. Its my main carb source with brown rice.

i was getting the majority of my carbs from oats but recently they have been giving me gas from hell so i switched to sweet potatos,ezekeil bread and brown rice,i still have oats but cut out about 75%.

My breakfast carbs are about 30% from oats , the rest is yogurt and fruit .

I don't eat much rice at all as I don't like it , if I do I generaly sprinkle a little Stevia and cinimon on it , this with white rice and egg whites makes a good pre workout meal.

most of my carbs come from sweet potatos and fruit though but then again i keep my carbs at 250g a day or less.

Sometimes my only starchy carbs during the day come soley from oats. I know this isn't ideal but when I'm crunched for time it's easier on the go than it is cooking up a potato or firing up the rice cooker (which takes 2 hours for brown rice). I don't mind throwing some cold water on them either and chowing down; I do that to try to limit microwave use.
