OFF TOPIC: Anyone know alot about NY unemployment

Got laid off a while back and been on Unemployment and benefits are supposed to be running out shortly.

-I have heard that there is an extension that is available, with a valid reason. Does anyone know anything about this, what are valid excuses?

-I have advanced degree and market for my field and experience is very competitive and there are simply few openings...

I actually would do that for sure. I applied but no openings for people with relatively little experience. Maybe Rick Collins woud hire me...lol...
