Find out what type of metal they are made of and then get some metal polish for that specific type. I use a Mother's powerball attached to my drill to polish the wheels.

Be careful of cleaners. Soap and water is always best.

They look to be aluminum or billet aluminum. If they are I would purchase a buffer or something like that cuz if not you'll likely be spending an hour or two per rim just to get them to shine.

buff the crap out of them..They looked kinda beat up (not knocking them) just alot of scratches and crap...but a buffer might get most of that out

I'm sure Mothers makes something for your particular application. The powerball attachment takes some of the tough work out of it and polishes nicely.

Honestly, save yourself the hassle. Clean them with soap and water (be very careful with wheel cleaners). Go get some Mother's polishing paste and spend the 20 bucks on the Mother's power ball. Put that thing on your drill and you will be amazed.

Aluminum is a very soft metal and oxidizes very easly , thats what looks like happened here , not a big deal as it can be buffed out 95% of the time but if neglected the oxidation will eventualy pit the metal.

Like everybody else said , polish the shit out of them. Then apply a coat of carnuba wax (or any quality wax), that will help prevent the nasties from getting into the metal at the microscopic level and give them a little wash once a week of so with some mild soap and water.

Oh yea , check around the local truck stops and ask if their is anybody thats their who polishes wheels , their often guys that will do it for $20 a wheel on the big Alco semi rims

yea its oxidation. try blue magic wheel polish. ive tried all the polishes and nothing even comes close to this product. use the mothers buffer ball on a drill

ok I'm going old school on this one first 1) soap and HOT water 2)never-dull, wait till haze then use a soft rag and a ton of elbow grease total cost $10 time =1 hr if that dont work try a fine cut polish by 3M and follow the same steps as above

i don't know. I used to work in a metal manufactuing plant and that looks like it could be etching....basically a very thin layer chemically burned away. It may take a while to properly buff as buffing would take forever to even this out.
get a pro to do it or buy new ones.

ITS OXIDATION

Most factory wheels are just aluminum. The factory puts a light cleqar coat on them and its only a matter of time, unless you wax the hell out of them all the time. Then you better hope no road salt hits them. just do as everyone says and buff them and put a good coat of wax on them and clean with soap and water only. I bought a set of 26" lexani marqi's. now they are chrome. Chrome is so much more easier to clean and wax. But I will not put them through a winter ever. My chrome's waxed would wash off so easy. I had a set of american racing nitro's for my 3/4 ton suburban and they pitted so quick it was disheartning. I will only do chrome now.
