My friend has had some problems lately with his pecs cramping up. Especially after a chest workout. He can hardly take showers or put his shirt on and his chest just cramps up real bad. What could be causing this? How can we fix it?

Peace,
VG

Vanilla is he using gear?? I have fixed my pectoral cramping with more supplementation of calcium and vit D for absortion and that seems to works everytime.

When do the cramp occur, post workout? Is it a reaccuring thing(like every morning or something), or do they pop up sporadically?
Sounds like he might have an electrolyte deficiancy, he could try adding potassiam(sp?) and if he doesn't get enough, sodium. This used to happen to me in muscles that weren't fully developed. When they weren't used to the strain hard training puts on them, they tend to cramp after a workout when cooling off. This could be the case with your buddy. Most likely it's a combo of a number of factors, and he'll just have to test some things out and finds what works for him.

Raul, yes my friend is on gear.

Stone, the cramps usually occur right after training chest. He usually trains around 12:00-1:00 and the cramps occur throughout the rest of the day. The next morning he is fine. He usually doesn't even have to flex. He can bring his arms in (across his body) then his pecs just cramp up. You can see the muscle doing it.

But like I just stated, its only on chest day. I am thinking he needs to do a lot of stretching before and after his training. He had a really bad pec strain occur a couple of weeks ago while attempting 465. The whole right pec was bruised all the way down the outer region. The bruising lasted about 5 days. I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but if memory serves me correctly he has been having the cramps before that.

Certain kinds of gear make the cramps worse for me

Like tren or winstrol. It only happens in the pec area. I have tried more calcium, potassium, water etc. It just happens when i am using these things. weird.

Yep as stated above, add more potasium , calcium into his diet and see if it works out ok.
