Just started dieting and I need some help. Train at 6am then go home and do first session of cardio. Before I train I use 30 grams protein and an apple. Question is should I do protein and carbs before cardio or after?
When I trained in the early morning and did cardio post workout, I slammed down a protein drink right after training and then hopped on the stairclimber. (I still do that training at night.) I didn't want to wait until I got home to give my body what it needed post workout. It worked for me. But others do it after cardio. All I ate in the early morning before the gym was oatmeal.
