Hey guys im a bit confussed on how to dehyrate for show been hearing so many different variations that im startin to feel lost.
*Drink 12L of water a day 7 days out from show and then stop when go to bed night before show
*5 days out from show drink 500ml a day
*And various other ways like only drink distilled water/ dont drink distilled water.
Can anyone help with sure fire way of being dehydrated properly, will be using aldactone 5 days prior, how will this impact on amonut water cosumption.

I no longer give advice but I will only comment here and say follow any three of those and you'll look all bloated, puffy and smooth the day of your show especially in the legs.

Oh and your drying out not dehydrating.

i don't know the best way to shed water, but i'll tell you how i'm doing it for this saturdays show. i'm drinking 2 gallons of water/day up until thursday night and then drink a gallon before noon friday and then no water till after the show on saturday. so, i'll try it and tell you how it works.

Gee, thanks alot Fathead how im really lost, thanks for the correct terminalogy "drying out". Thought i better give some more info on myself so some1 can help.

Been on anabolic diet for last 2yrs and is working well to shed fat for comp which is 5wks from now. Of course after droping cals from 6k a day down to around 3k and adding some cardio. Being on anabolic diet i always "shit carb load" for a whole day once a week which always seems to dry me out a bit, even when not watching water intake.
So back to my original question, is anyone on similar diet and knows a good drying out method to go with a "shit carb load"

Ideally you should have someone help you that can see you. But basicly outline is something like this for last week:

Drink extra water Sun-wed, cut sodium 5 days out, Thrus. go with 4L or water, and friday go with 2-4l cutting if off sometime between 12-4pm, again really depends on many things. Really be good if you have somone with good eye that can help.
