Ok, I have some question...when doing reps what a good speed to follow...I heard some people say fast, but would that be like real fast or just like controlled up and down without pauseing at the bottom or top...WHen doing reps is it good doing rull range of motion or like stop short of top and bottom?

speed

well it's easy to go fast, time under tension is what works muscles.one method is 2 seconds down,1 second up.i try to keep a slow steady pace, then i might try to cheat up the last one or two.i also hold the muscle contracted alot.changing things up is what keeps your muscles from adapting.

Full range of motion is always best. Rep speed is really an individual thing, I sometimes go slow and other times fast to change things up.

1sec up with explosion, 2sec down in a controled way. I am allways conclude each set with one or two negatives.

Bumping the responses so far! It is a matter of preference. However if your sacrificing "form" just for speed then your waisting your time. Get the form down packed first then try a "little" speed or even a slower approach to make sure your activating every muscle fiber you can while doing that perticular exercise. Good luck.
