ive been doing keto with one day carb up on wekend for a litle while now ,i t i have deit in check and less then bmr and workn out ed, but not being pleased with the results, really not notciced much, how long or what percent of actual fat do some of you guys lose doing keto? , im startin to think maybe my throid, test levels or metob is slow or messed up?
 
Keto is not for everyone. Each body reacts differently to diets. But, I am not gonna get into what you should try or do, but stick it thru and see what the end result is. If you are not satisfied, evaluate and try something different. Trial and error is part of the bodybuilding game. Learning YOUR body will the best thing you can do...and seek coaching from a professional to help aid if need be.
 
is keto suppose to be the fastes way to burn fat? what other ways is there?

It worked EXTREMELY well for me. It took a while to figure out what my body responds best to , but through trial & error I got there. Willpower to "eat this & not that" was my major hurdle. I had to lose close to 40 pounds to pass my dive physical in order to get back to work after I got bent last time. It took me close to 8 months to do it & retain an acceptable amount of lean mass.
 
As far as fast and relatively safe, I would say that keto diets work great if you can remain functional on trace carbs. I am a endo-mesomorph with a never ending appetite so the diet works great for me. But if someone was more towards the ectomorph side and only had a few pounds to lose, it might not be the best route to go. Also there are many ways to do a keto diet, but I choose to do one that closely resembles the Vince Gironda style. I have plenty of red meat in my diet, but I eat red meat and eggs earlier in the day and switch to chicken or lean pork, and by the end of the day it's fish or a shake. But not a fish shake, lol.

I found through trial and error that my body just loves to store carbs and get sluggish on them. So I will go 10 to 14 days on 20 to 35 grams of carbs and then have one day where I eat carbs but even then I don't get out of control with them maybe 150 grams or so. I just don't seem to need more than a couple servings of veggies or a hand full of berries in some home made yogurt.

I also am one of the lucky people in the world I guess, because I can handle all types of dairy and have no lactose issues at all. I hate to mention that here or any boards really because there seems to be milk and dairy product haters everywhere,lol. But it works for me and I would rather have a tall glass of milk, cottage cheese, yogurt, etc, over pasta, bread or taters any day.

wow thats surprising, I lost 30 lbs in like the first 4 weeks. Mostly water, obviously but I came down really fast at the start. It's working great for me. To the OP, are you actually working with palumbo or just doing his diet?

Wow your post is messed up in so many ways:

-He never said anything about Dave P's diet, he didn't create the Keto BTW

-30 lb and most water - you must of had a 20lb back pack of water on - you should look up the physiological reactions to the manifestation of hydro homeostasis/osmosis is the body due to carbohydrates.

I agree...I think you need to post what you are eating meal by meal to give us a bit more detail.
