Rest/Off Day Diet

I'm trying to add size right now by slowly adding calories week by week as needed. I'm around 4000kcals right now on my training days and just wondering if I should keep my calories the same on my off days or if I should drop my carbs low on off days but keep my protein and fat the same. This would bring me to around 2700-2800kcals on my off days.

What would you recommend?
 
Depends on your metabolism.

I tend to have a slower one so I implement lower carbs on off days with cardio. If training everyday I'll lower carbs on smaller body part days. The lower carb days will keep me more insulin sensitivity and may get slight fat burning effect that day.

If you are a hard gainer I would stick to a pretty consistent amount of calories everyday.

The best you can do is set and adjust depending on progress. Gaining too fast then implement some lower carb/calorie days and cardio. Not gaining enough or at all increase calories. I'd increase carbs first and fats second. Protein should stay pretty consistent.
 
A lil' off topic but did somebody here try injecting TrenA in the morning hours of a no training day with low carbs / lower calories in order in increase metabolism and anabolism plus adding something against catabolism on this day without large sides since it's in and out very fast ...no need for caber or risk of hairloss and what not?
 
Off days I would drop 50 carbs only and keep protein and fat the same. Switch carbs to natural, slow burning, low-glycemic like sweet potatoes, beans, brown rice, etc. On regular days obviously eat whatever carbs you want to hit your totals, put some candy in PWO, etc.. cream of rice, kiddie cereal, muffins, bagels, oats, etc etc.

That's what I've been doing for the last 6 years. It's all about insulin control.
 
Pretty similar here, pretty much just drop carbs from last carb meal, which for me is roughly 50 grams as well

I would keep calories the same and add liss/miss cardio instead.
