IMO this belief is incorrect. It is true that pharma won't go after drugs they can't patent, but this is to ensure a return on their investment. We now live in a world where it can cost up to $500 million to just get approval for one drug. No profit equals bankruptcy.

That being said it is completely short sighted to think that Pharma makes its money off of cancer treatment and therefore would suppress "cures". A "cure" for cancer is typically only for one type of cancer and is not a lifetime cure. You can always get another cancer later on that you have to spend money on. Pharma makes FAR more money on living patients than dead. A living person gets heart disease, diabetes, cancers, colds, flus, infections, erectile dysfunction, etc. A dead person does not.

thats why these drugs are only designed to prolong your life not cure. your life is still compromised as you still have the illness and you get to live as long as you keep coming back for the drugs.

You know who dies of cancer? Roughly 25% of people living in industrialized societies. Billionaires, Pharma CEO's/shareholders, medical researchers, wealthy politicians, their spouses, their children, etc. all DIE of cancer every fucking year.

If you honestly believe there is a conspiracy anywhere to prevent the cure of cancer, then please don't procreate or vote.

The big pharma company that comes up with a cure for a type of cancer (sine many cancers have different causes and mechanisms, there most likely will never be a single cure for cancer, but multiple cures for the multiple types of cancer that exist) will get VERY rich.

Do you think Merck would purposefully not make trillions of dollars with a cure for cancer because Pfizer would not make their billions on cancer treatments?

And as Metabz said, cancer strikes the CEOs of Big Pharma just like everyone else - do you think they would volunteer to die of cancer just so another company can keep making money? No, a cure for cancer is not being suppressed - the issue is that there needs to be many cures for the many kinds of cancers and that each cure is so complex it has yet to be invented.

Well if you really look hard, cancer is a multi billion business and there has been cures for many years. Mainstream medicine does not teach the patient on how to avoid cancer and i wonder why ?

It is said that children being born today have so many toxins already from the mother ....We are in a very toxic society.
