I believe in it...That's what gear does I guess if you tapped out you potential "set point" it brings you past it. I also think you can do it naturally by overeating for long periods of time, but then you will be fat for awhile. I have been fat in the past and some friends of mine football players we just eat to get big no matter if we gained fat. I even stopped lifting for awhile walked around fat and when I cut down was bigger than before and appeared to gain muscle from just walking around with all that weight on me. This appeare dto happn to my buddies too. Especially legs seemed to get very big. Don't know if that makes sense.

i believe in this, i think think of a few set points i had in the past, and it seemed like hell getting through them but i did. first it was 215, then 225 then 235 and so on.

i really agree with this theory Shelby. I also agree that after an offseason cycle, it is better to sit at that weight for a couple more months THEN begin a diet just to let that new muscle really "stick" like you said.

my set point has always been around 220-230 and around 12-15%bf. right now i am 270 with a higher side of bf but i want to sit at that until after new year's

im glad you posted this

gret post Shelby I can't wait to see what you do the next time you hit the stage.

How do you guys deal with being uncomfortable? Eating enough has always been my issue and I have been lean for so long that 5-10 lbs feels like 50.
