Ok, so I'm putting together my final game plan for the USA's and have run a couple of dif. test runs as I have kept myself very lean all year and have been able to really manipulate my foods for loading purposes to figure out how full/how long, before spilling. In the past I had always errored to the side of caution and always came in tight, but never full and had a tough time getting a pump. I have a rough idea of a plan, but would love to hear from other experienced competitors as to how a shitload has worked for them? How long did you deplete? How were your sodium levels through the final week? Water levels? When did you shitload? Did you load with slin? Did you compete on Fri or Sat.? I'm not asking for you to give away any "secrets". Just looking for ideas and interested in how it may or may not have worked out for you.

Thank you. This thread you posted is actually why I started this thread. I couldn't find it and I was actually looking to get some even more current experiences. Would love to hear if Homonunculus shit loaded and his experience. He not only comes in totally dry and shredded, but really knows his shit.
 
That thread is pretty old. At least for what I had to say 4 years ago, my approach to shitloading (now "skiploading") has changed quite a bit. In my opinion, there is no need to load with insulin.

Lack of pumps is usually attributed to lack of intramuscular water. Try to look at it this way.....you are not carb loading, you are water displacing. Carbs and sodium are just the tools to get the water to where you want it to be. Inside the muscles and only inside the muscles. Your muscles are 75-80% water. That is what causes the fullness. I would write more, but im fighting with my gf right now so i cant really think haha sorry, blame her

I was going to refer you to Skip, actually - he's the man when it comes to Shitloading, which he's refined to Skiploading.

A place to start, though, where it might be easiest for you to get some info. without giving away secrets would be:

What have you done that worked the best, in terms of:
-Depletion or not?
-Sodium?
-Water?
-Carbs?
-Fats?

And what do you think you need to do differently?...

Skip, I was hoping to get you to bite on this thread. The old thread with you and Homonunculus is great btw, but was hoping that we could find some current ideas. Once again, I'm a trainer and don't want you to give away all of your secrets, just respect your knowledge. Thanks Bro
 
The reason that I don't post much on skiploading is because what I am doing right now works so well and is so backwards that I am keeping it to myself as long as I can. I know that might sound shitty but I have something that not many have.

I have said on the boards, though, that if you take what most people do with water and sodium and carbs and do a complete 180, that would be a damned good start to what I am doing.

I can say that I predominantly use a carb load only on Saturday mornings and my guys are usually pretty full at the 1 week mark. I don't bring guys into a morning load (on the day of the show) in depleted status, anymore. In fact, if I put a number on it I would say that I load 90% of guys on Saturday mornings.

How much would your "secret" cost? I understand charging for contest prep but I'm a bit shocked at just how little you are willing to inform someone. Not saying that you need to be exact because that is what you get paid for but this seems really top secret. Do you ask your athletes to sign a confidentiality agreement when you teach them how to "skipload"?

Dude you looked super hard grainy and full like 45 weeks out when I saw you at juniors....lol....You must just look liek a mutant now.....:D
 
one thing that i have learned from talking to ''cough cough'' skipsssszzzzzz'''' , that people cut sodium to early . and i am not talking about 3 days . i am talking 1 day out . in order to get dry , you don't necessarily have to cut sodium before you cut water .
