I live in a townhouse on a lake, my fiance is over w her 9 and 10 yo, my 13yo is there, they are all outside on the edge of the lake. Well evidently my sorta neighbor calls the police on the people 2 doors down from me for fishing off the dock, which we find out belongs to the house in between us, which is vacant. Sad thing is i'm quite sure if my neighbors that were fishing were white the police would not have been called
but it is in S Ga and unfortunately still plenty of idiots that judge people solely on the color of their skin.
Well i hear Thibideaux half ass barking at the folks fishing as they were close to 'his' yard, but he's just doing his job, you never know if they were undercover squirrels, he's convinced those squirrels are out to get me and him All of a sudden i hear him raise hell and run to the side of the house, though he can't go far as i have the invisible fence, so i go out on the deck and there's a big Sheriff Deputy w/ a taser in his hand. He tells me "you better get your dog under control, i'm about to take him out", and dude had an attitude. He was standing in my yard, and i told him so, and that if he walks through my yard, my dog might confront him, but he's not a biter, never has, never come close, and labs aren't known for attacking people. PoPo says it isn't my yard, and i point out the property line. He tells me then that he has the right to protect himself, which i can't deny to be honest, but he's got mace on his belt and i ask him why would he use something lethal and not the mace, and he's had training to deal with dogs, it's obvious my dog was not going to attack. I also asked him how many labs does he know of that have bitten people. Well this all pissed him off, and he said "i ain't got time for you bossman, so control your dog or i'll take care of him". At that i started down the stairs but luckily my fiance stopped me, even though i would NOT have started a physical altercation, especially w/ a 300# policeman
I called the Sheriffs dept and they told me to call back Monday when the Supervisors are on duty, but i think i'll let it slide...
15 min later, the Realtor that called the police trespassed through my property to put a No Trespassing sign on the dock As he was leaving, he was walking across my property and i told him "funny, you're trespassing on my property to put up a no trespassing sign and said i can call the police and have you arrested. Dude froze, and said "are you serious", and i said no, unlike you i'm not going to be petty, so you should really think about why you are doing what you are doing. He said " those, uh, people can't be there, and one had a beer". Well i couldn't be nice much longer because it was obvious he did not want those folks on the dock because they were black. Now this dude is light in the loafers, and has his swishy with him, so, yeah i know it wasn't the right thing to say, i said "you stick your penis where another man evacuates his bowels are you're taking the moral high road re one of those people had A beer, i'm getting a education in hypocrisy today". Well he didn't like that a bit, gave me a dirty look, and swished off.
