Surgery and cycle information

First off, I planned on running a 10 week(250mg 2x a week) Test E cycle with a 4 week 30mg dbol kickstart as my first cycle a couple months ago.

I was having some back pain previously, so I decided to get an MRI and I have a herniated lumbar disc. I am scheduled to have a microdiscectomy next week. I still plan on running the Test as soon as I am able to continue lifting.

My question is, should I run deca with it as well since it has the collagen synthesis properties? I have enough test to run longer than 10 weeks if needed, but wanted to be conservative with it being my first cycle and all.

I guess I'll have to see how I feel afterwards to gauge any opinion. Would rather avoid running deca for a first cycle, but if it helps me recover then I guess why not right?

-I've tried PT, cortisone shots, chiropractor, medrol, etc with no relief before anyone asks why I decided on the surgery.

Don't be running anything before your surgery. You need to wait until you are done with it because those steroids can increase the chances of blood clots during and after surgery and that can put you either in ICU at the hospital or 10 foot under.

My advice is to wait until you have healed up from your surgery and are ready to start your exercise again. I tried running crap after my hernia surgery and I dont think it helped a bit. I dont thnk there is a whole lot you can do to speed healing other than eating right and getting lots of rest. Follow your doc's advice.

Yea, that's what I meant. I didn't plan on running anything until I am cleared to lift. I appreciate the advice, my main question was if steroids post surgery helped anyone heal faster than they would have normally. I'm assuming only GH would do anything like that, which is out of my price range.

I dont think any of them would really do enough that you would notice that much difference. The biggest factors are going to be nutrition and proper rest to heal up. I can say for me at least that steroids after surgery didnt seem to help me heal any faster. I never tried GH after surgery but was on it for about 1 1/2 years straight and wasnt that impressed with the results and I was using insulin too. The main thing GH did for me was keep me very lean.
