Tamoxifen can cause blood to clot

Hey I was actually do a paper on deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and I came across this from Merck.com

Some drugs, including oral contraceptives, estrogen therapy, or drugs that act like estrogen (such as tamoxifen and raloxifene Some Trade Names
EVISTA), can cause blood to clot more readily. Smoking is also a risk factor

Im sure a lot of you know this already but just be careful when taking tamoxifen especially if you have other risk factors for blood clotting.

This is nothing new. Everyone should closely research any substance before they put it into their bodies, whether prescribed by a doctor, or not.

with AIs such as exemestane and letrozole available, there is no reason to take nolvadex. that stuff is a killer. combine that effect with aas increases in blood cell count and changes to clotting factors and you are just asking for trouble. stay away from this stuff

yea man, they can cause a pe (pulmonary embolism) that's why girls who are on contraceptives need to be extra careful on long plane rides.
