I have been using a technique that I read about written be a guy named animal. It involves eating basically zero carbs most of the day with just enough protien, every few hours, and moderate fat to satiate hunger. Meaning you would eat enough protien at a setting to maintain muscle mass, but not enough so that the excess would go to fat, The right before your evening workout you would eat a good low glycemic carb like oatmeal 1 hour before pumping. Right after pumping you would have a high fructose drink and protien equaling a stated amount based on a mathematical equation he has given. I have been using this technique for around 1 month and I have lost 21 lbs. I have done only moderat cadio. The nuts and bolt of his theory is that you body need most of the carbs right after you work out and that you would eat only 2 whole meal within the 4 hour window of your workout because Insulin level remain constant, therefor your getting fat is less likely because the carbs aree being used to help repair just worked tissue. after you 2 large post work out meals he states you have replaced the iodine in your thyroid, and restored the glycogen. I have had decent success with this method, but I have also been using a cheat day where I eat 500 mgs of carbs, at 1 meal and thats all the carbs for the day. This is very broken down as the formula is more detailed but my question pertaining to the thyroid is , how is it afftected , in reguard to fat burning eating 5 small meals a day, versus what I am doing, and the reason I am asking is that I use the 5 small meal method on my client, and have reduces a person from 20% body fat to 14.9% in 5 week without drugs or creatine, just with 5 small meals and secretaguoge 1.Whiel using this method. I have moved my body fat down from 21 % to what it is presently 17% in 6 weeks. I know this is long, but i know that my knowledge of contest dieting is very poor and I NEED TO LEARN Thanks.
