Tips on working out with year old injury

I've broken both of my elbows. About 10 years apart, but when I bench my elbows feel like they're going to break again. I feel pressure in the elbows but push through the best i can. Dumbbells aren't so bad but throwing up a bar is different. Any ideas how to work with these issues? Thanks in advance
 
Just stick to Dumbbells. A lot of older athletes have given up benching with a barbell because of injuries along the way.
 
What ^ he said, don't do things that hurt. Seems obvious.
 
if its hurts that bad dont do it, make sure you warm up good, get good blood flow to your elbows, maybe try some elbow sleeves as well, being hard headed and pushing thru can cause more problems, once on flat bench several years ago i did not warm up very good at all, did 285 for a set of 8, on the 8th rep felt like someone stuck a needle thru my left pec, my dumbass added another 15 pounds to do another set, unracked it and that shit went straight down on me, after that i could not work chest for 3 months.
 
Just do moderate,keep your joint safe,feeling the muscle work while you perform exercises enough.
