EXACTLY. Why does everyone with cancer get sympathy and not people who suffer problems from steroids or drugs? It's almost always self inflicted someway or another. There is nothing worse than being hopeless dealing with something really bad and feeling alone.
Interesting discussion on human psychology isn't it? My dad died suddenly from cancer (I know...very weird but he found out he had cancer three days before he died) about two years ago. He also almost died going into cardiac arrest in 2014. He was a 40 year smoker with uncontrolled high bp and never went to the doc. Overworked and overstressed.
That said, he recognized and acknowledged he likely brought on these issues and was upbeat yet solemn. My point with that digression is, I believe, in bodybuilding and when it comes to steroids they never seem to really take responsibility and acknowledge they likely brought it on themselves and the sport is damn near suicide. Personally, I don't need that but that is certainly a part of human nature to not feel a lot for someone that likely brought on their own issues and doesn't acknowledge it.
