People have always praised my legs because they are a good chunky size but now Im going through that pre contest diet stuff and Im notcing my top half has to started to get ripped but my bottom half is way behind. Im 2 and half months away, any ideas?

Everyone is different, and leans out differently. Some people don't see their abs until the last couple weeks, and some can see them year-round.

Just stick with the diet, get shredded, and you'll be the best you can be.

Yeah it just sucks knowing that my strongest point which gets me the most complments are my legs can make me the laughing stock at the competion. I just hope it evens out in the end. Has anybody had similar problems?

My legs usually come in behind my upper body when leaning out. I have found running Letro to suppress estrogen makes a big difference in evening this out while cutting.

Letro huh? I guess I take after my mum on the legs department, big legs big ass ect lol! Anyway could I also be more prone to holding water on legs as well as fat?

Trust me, Im trying my hardest, I havent had a snicker bar in two months. I also havent cut out the carbs completely, I take about 3 quarters of a glass of rice with my chicken or steak ect. Ive cut out simple sugars completly, about one month before the event Im planning on lowering the carbs even more and see what happens.

There is a reason for this, I have read some articals regarding fat distribution in the body. The fat around your hips and thighs is influenced by esterogenic activity. It happens to men also. We do naturally have some estrogen in us. The fat that gets stored in your hips and thighs is more stubborn than the adipose tissue elsewhere in you. So anti-e as mentioned above and strict diet protocls must be adhered to. What about cardio? How often? How long? and what type? But the hips and thighs thing always had me puzzled. It could also be a matter of fact that you store more fat here and it is just going to take longer to get it off from there.

ever wonder why its so hard for female competitors to get ripped in the thighs, glutes, and hams?

its their body's telling them that "whatever you do.... DO NOT LIBERATE FAT FROM THAT AREA! it is essential for your and your unborn offsprings survival."

males can have it too.

you need to get your body to let go of that fat and that can be done with a lot of cardio, yohimbine works good too, especially if it is put into a transdermal and applied directly to the problem area.

You know what the funny thing is? I had a friend in London that was the total opposite, he had extremly ripped legs but he had a big gut and a double chin. Weird bodys dude. So you think this anti estrogen thing might help?

I"m the opposite right now, my legs are getting hard as nails it's the lower abs/obliques were i'm carrying all my fat. Oh try Avant Labs Lipo-derm ultra and add bulk rasberry ketones to it, it's helping me get rid of stubborn fat. It's hardened up my chest quite a bit and it's helping me drop the annoying gut fat.

Other than following Magnum's advice (diet harder), you should doing a lot of your cardio on a Stepmill.

I'm 9 weeks out right now and this time my legs are dialing in nicely. My problem area this time is holding fat below the pecs. No.... not gyno just a slight accumulation of fat seems to happen to some of us older guys.

I'm damn lean right now, and still that one area is lagging behind. Obviously the only answer is get leaner!

be carefull when dropping the carbs low make sure to add some good fats in there. I would keep the diet strict and manipulate some different food sources, fish is my best friend when dieting(2-3lbs/day) as mentioned befor the stepmill has an effect on my legs(glute ham tie in) and getting them sharper. some dudes just cant get the striated glutes and some others have no prob., I personally belive any one can achieve ripped glute if the diet and cardio has been adjusted properly!

i have a similer problem;hold fat above knee and front thigh, but not hips and ass, also whats the protocal for cardio ,cos when i train legs there trashed for days after;wood some bodybuilders drop legs weight workouts, and keep them fresh for cardio.

I'm also pre contest dieting, 12 weeks out. I have just the opposite problem of you!:) My legs is very hard, but upper body has much more flab. Seems like when you diet down and up several times the fat depots change a little from each time.

Only thing I can think of that might have made my legs so hard is the change to higher reps. About two months ago I changed my reps on leg excersises(most of them) from 8-10 to 15-20. You could try that!

Thanks for your input guys, I have switched to higher reps on squats ect and can feel the pain much more the next day. Its been 2 weeks since I switched to higher reps. As for cardio, well the step machine always seems to hurt my lower back, after a while so I find waliking uphill on the treadmill less painfull, I walk 45 minutes a day and between 7-8 kilometres ph. My heartrate is always above 155 and I burn beatween 700-760 calories.

Should this be sufficent for the next two months?

dont stay on the treadmill till the end of your diet, switch it up, tread, elipitical, stepmill, bike. your body will get more effecient at burinig calories if you stay on one machine too long= less caloreis and fat burned. and pay no attention to the calorie counter on the machine it dosent mean shit!

I tend to disagree with this but variety is the spice of life so switching it up keeps cardio from being so monotonous.....
