Saw recently on the History chanel how turkey bacon is made. It is extruded to look like regular bacon...i.e. light/dark - fat/meat. They said the white part of trukey bacon is the white part of the turkey wing and the dark part of turkey bacon is the dark part of the wing.... or leg.. shit, can't remember. I know we all feel turkey bacon is acceptible as part of our breakfast. I thought I have heard how FATTENING turkey legs and wings are though!!

Anyone else see that in the History chanel?

No didn't see the show but I do eat turkey bacon...throw a couple pieces in the microwave till nice and crisp. It's really not that bad.

Its full of sodium though.

So you gonna quit eating it? Just curious.

Its acually a waste of time eating you wont get make out of it other then sodium

I'm just the opposite,,I like the turkey bacon but not the turkey sausage.

:yeahthat:

Turkey bacon cooked on the stovetop til it just about burnt, nice and crispy. i love that stuff. Goes good with my grits and egg white omelets :D

Turkey bacon is much healthier compared to regular bacon. I like the taste of it better as well. My favorite part of breakfast.

My local store had their turkey bacon as well as their ground turkey for $1/lb. I filled up both my freezers and it has been my main source of protein for the last few months. Needless to say, I'm a fan.
