UK Fireservice Drug test

Im going through application etc of fire and rescue service, and people have started commenting on drug testing obv specifically steroids, no recreational ones taken, I cant find anywhere a list of what they test for, was hoping someone on here would be able to give me some good news.

Are you saying they are testing for roids but not rec drugs??? That does not sound right. testing for AAS is very specific and very costly. They would need to test for specific compounds and this would require some in depth testing and time. I don't doubt thye would do this but the test for rec drugs is easy and cost effective. I'd rather have a guy on AAS show up to pull me out of a building than a crackhead!!!! At least the guy on gear is gonna save my life while the crackhead roasts marshmallows and ME!!!!

Yea bro testing for AAS costs around a grand I think. I would think (hope) they would be more strict with rec drugs.

800GBP per drug I think. I know plenty of UK firemen on gear.
