Thank you very much. I got out for a few reasons but the biggest one was that the legal ramifications these days if something were to go wrong is just too much for me. My conscience was nagging me the last year or two because my kids are getting older. The thought of my kids seeing me with guns drawn while I lay on the floor for simply possessing gear was too much for me. My oldest daughter had her friends saying that I must be using steroids because I was "so jacked" and when she would ask me, the only real thing you can do is deny it. The lies and the thought of getting caught just finally got to me.

I don't miss all of the shit that comes with competing but I sure do miss prepping and that sort of thing. It is funny because they are telling me all the time (my kids) to go back to compete but they don't understand what it requires.

My wife says I will be back on stage in a year as she rolls here eyes. lol

You bring up some interesting points Skip and I was just having a conversation the other day about this topic. That being the public perception of bbers/big guys/dudes that workout and take juice...etc...whichever category you happen to fall into. Cos last year I took an extended break from lifting (8 months or so) and watched my bodyweight drop down to 270ish (Im 6'3 so thats not a big deal....) and to 99% of the general public out there I STILL appeared to be 'jacked to the gills'. My point?.....( there was one I think)...My point is that if you, me or anyone in here has even a modicum of muscle over and above the 'athletic' look most of the world is gonna have the perception that we take steroids...EVEN if we don't. So kinda like when your girlfriend keeps accusing you of screwing other women and you're not but then you figure Why not? If Im gonna be getting accused of this shit anyway....

And besides Skip...At our age it aint juicing..It's HRT...LOL
