ok...there is some wierd shit going on down here....once again...another reason for me to leave this place...last night my girl and i were leaving the movie theater and i didnt think anything of it, but ppl were screaming left and right...i looked around and up by the lights looked like a HUGE cloud of insects..then as we turned the corner, i shit you not...about a thousand grasshoppers were everywhere! they were all over the ground. all over the cars and all over us! we ran to the car and i couldnt even get it b/c they covered my 300! on the hood, top of the car...windows...everywhere! we finally bit the bullet and jumped in quick, but about 10 of them id say got into the car....i was driving away trying to get these fuckers out! this morning i went into my garage (closed off at night) and there were like 5 of them chillin on my 300 again! where the fuck are these coming from and why so fucking many? isnt there s'thing in the bible that describes s'thing like this? is the world coming to an end?

Thats too funny, same shit happened to us last night. We live in Gilbert and went grocery shopping after dinner. We got out of the car and there were a whole bunch of these things sitting on the top of my car, I wasn't sure if they were praying mantis's, grasshoppers or what they were. Anyways, after shopping we go back out to the car and I start the car and put the top down since its easier to put the 2 y/o and all the groceries in with the top already down. All the sudden my wife starts screaming and freaking out and I see all these grasshopper bugs flying around the car and sitting inside the car. I looked up at the lights above us and there were probably hundreds of these bugs flying around circling the lights. My boy thought it was hysterical.

yeah we have all kinds of bugs there, but not millions of them at a time! ppl were running around the mall like mad...seriously...they were attacking everyone! i wish i could have taken a pic...they were seriously an INSANE of amt of them. and they are not locust, those sit in trees and make noises right? these were BROWN grasshopers....gross!

I believe you were attacked by cicadas aka locust... They appear every 17 years so if you can hold out for the next 30 days they will be gone and then in another 17 years appear again.

I am not positive but I believe that is what it is... Some places they come back every 7 years but I believe in the climate you are in it is 17.
