Why do carbs make you retain water Subcutaneous?

I mean Even a Small amount of Organic Brown rice like 50G carbs why does it cause subcutanous water?

Lets say i dont take Any Starch for 2 days it seem i dont retain water but i soon as i take Brown rice my face seem a little Puffy.

i thought Carbs only pull water inside the muscle not under the skin?

I dont take Creatine or gear, i dont even drink milk,My only starch source and Carbohydrate is Organic Brown rice.

Can Fructose make you retain water? Pineapple and Grapefruit?

I can see a little Water Retention under the skin of my face, its like it get a little puffy But not a full blown moon face.

I always wonder.

Maybe im paranoining but i can see a little difference in my face.

Whats the cause of this ?

You can't dicate water retention in either place - muslce vs. sub q. Just like you cant dictate from which area you drop the water. You can only influence it a bit.

Either way, if the brown rice is giving you trouble, try different carb sources. I know for me, bread, pasta's and damn near anything processed F's me up big time but I can tollerate Oats and Potato's and rice a little better. I still hold water but I don't get that bloating like I get with breads. My posing coach from last year (female WNBF PRo) tells me she can't eat Oats at all; instead she opts for rice cereals... I guess we are just all a little different.

Hell, some guys swear that they can't eat grains at all. Not sure how much of that is just engrained in their heads but I'm sure it's not much more far fetched than me badmouthing bread.

Not much help but that's how I see it anyway.
