LAST NIGHT A FORMER STUDENT AND FRIEND OF MINE... DID LEGS AT THE LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL. THE DISTRICT BOUGHT ONE OF THOSE PLATE LOADED SQUAT MACHINES...SO WE DECIDED TO GIVE IT A TRY.
WE WARMED UP THE KNEES A BIT WITH SOME LEG EXTENSIONS FIRST...THEN WE MOVED ON TO THAT MACHINE. WE DECIDED TO SET SOME 5 POUND PLATES ON THE DECK TO ELEVATE THE HEELS SOME AND USED A NARROW STANCE. WE KEPT THE SETS AT 12-15 REPS....AND I REALLY FELT THOSE....I AM ALSO VERY SORE TODAY. WE FOLLOWED THOSE UP WITH LYING LEG CURLS, CALF RAISES AND CRUNCHES.
I MUST SAY I GOT A VERY GOOD WORKOUT AND THINK THAT MACHINE HAS SOME VALUE IN LEG TRAINING!
HAVE ANY OF YOU TRIED THAT MACHINE? IF SO WHAT DID YOU THINK OF IT?
