What are the real side effects of GH?

I'm not talking about the BS propaganda they stuff down people's throats and I'm not talking about temporary stuff like bloating and numb hands.

I've seen small quips in my research here on PM of people mentioning the danger of long term GH use that nobody talks about, of course GH needs to be used pretty much longer term. I haven't found it extensively discussed but in some threads I've seen well regarded minds make short comments to the neglected dangers of using generic GH. Not saying pharm wouldn't be the same but this is what was specifically said a few different times.

I'm 32 and used GH in the past for a year or so with very little results but the new testing results is making me want to jump back in. Just looking to research it as much as I can, I guess getting older is making me wiser or just less ballsy.

When I had consistent access to serostim I used it for about a year straight at 2iu-5iu ed. My shoe size went from 13/14 to 14/15 depending on the brand. I also had to get two more metal links on my hard strapped watches. So I have no idea what else it did to my internals. This was all in my early 30s.

Now that being said, like anything else in life, these side effects may have presented themselves in a totally different way on someone else. Now thinking about it, I wish it had added a couple of more inches to my penis. I would have moved out west and started making porn...

Like stated above; A LOT of it is individual. Unfortunately there's no studies about the long term effects on a range of people.

Sure but how about personal expierences? ive seen remarks regarding issues of exogenous GH on body function as well as physical attributes.

Better vision, possibility of growing forehead, head in general, feeling of well-being, better sleep, ability to keep body fat low, darker and thicker hair, less grey hair, growing feet, and faster growing nails. I think I've covered most if not all long term side effects of gh.

These and possible heart growth

These and possible heart growth

I'd say organ growth in general. If I remember correctly, igf-1 doesn't discriminate when it comes to cell growth.

The biggest concern would be heart growth and organ growth, but I believe each individual is different with the effects.

You could develop intracranial hypertension, as well you could develop pancreatitis, gyno, diabetes or hypothyroidism. If you've had any sort of malignant tumors in the past, you very well could develop a secondary malignant neoplasm.

Running it with several supraphysiolgical doses of thyroid hormones and AAS. You could develop hypercalcemia. Add some supplemental vitamin D3 in there, you up the risk even moreso. Not good.

That's a short list of potentials.

I'd say lethargy too...I have to time my pulses right or else im tired and dragging all day long.

Stewie, though this might be individual, is there a certain dose that you feel it could be safe? Do you think 4iu could lead to any of these sides generally speaking?

We posted the same question at the same time, I am sure many others are wondering too.

I cycle my growth 6months on 6 months off. I had just got a hold of pfizer GH I know people say there is no differences But I love it 2ius in the morning and I feel great plus I will be 39 soon and still no grays. I also do blood work every 3-6 months and go to the heart doc yearly.

What is the interaction with D3?

I'd like to know as well. I have to take D3 because of my health issues. Also running 3ius daily.

Honestly, I do not know what dosages would signify the potential of some of the aforementioned. As for intercranal hypertension, this can happen with very low doses of GH. This could occur moreso with someone with mildly to severely impaired renal function or preexisting hypertension. For the other's, it's individualized.

For the exception of the use of thyroid hormones. The use of AAS and GH in isolation has not been shown to push serum calcium levels out of range. Although the use of AAS and GH together can precipitate the onset of hypercalcemia. As for thyroid hormone use, durning hyperthyroidism states, (which most individuals use way too much T3) this has been associated with hypercalcemia.

The basis is of concerns when multiple compounds-drugs are used, moreso than the isolation of one compound-drug in the case of hypercalcemia.

As for supplemental vitamin D. Most (not all) people blindly take way, way too much without knowing what their vitamin D 25-hydroxy levels are. What can exacerbate this even more. Is increased intestinal calcium absorption and decreased urinary excretion of calcium, this is a recipe for hypercalcemia to occur in combination with supplemental Vit D.

Of noteworthy. Dehydration can cause a transient rise in serum calcium levels, giving a false indication of hypercalcemia. It's knowing how to interpret one's lab's, as well taking into consideration of other drug's, conditions an individual may be on/in.

I was vague with my original post on supplemental Vit D. Hopefully this cleared it up?

I'm on dialysis so I don't have any issues regarding urine output because I can't piss. I'm guessing the excess levels of calcium from taking too much D3 can lead to problems? I get labs done on a monthly basis and my calcium levels are within range. I will definitely keep in mind however, what you posted.

I'm very sorry to hear this jm :(

You would be an exception to this, as low/normal calcium levels is especially common in those with kidney failure. Has your Neph ever pulled a Free or Ionized calcium test?
