what kind of tricks do you use to diet

Ok so I may be a little weak minded but if i'm craving something sometimes I will make myself eat a chicken breast and if i'm still hungry then i'll get what I want usually by then i'm not hungry for it anymore or if I am I convince myself that I got sick last time I ate something that usually kills the craving.

Anyone else got any trick like this?
 
i do something i guess is similar. In the offseason i try to keep my diet real strict, but to keep myself from craving a cheat meal real often, when i do cheat ill eat myself sick of it. For example, one time i had been craving mexican food like none other. For my cheat meal of the week i ate a TON of it, my stomach did not feel good. Probably isnt the best idea, but hey, didnt crave mexican food for a while after that. Just helps me not crave bad foods all the time.
 
lol, everyone hates to diet, but man what a good feeling of accomplishment when you step on the scale or measure your stomach to see the results. One trick I do is drink lots of water. It helps make you feel full. Another thing is to eat a can of tuna. It's so terrible (at least to me) that after I finish it I'm not thinking about eating anything else.
 
Yea chicken breast or protein drink at night. Lots of water to kill the hunger and fill me up. But then I'm up three times in the night pissing out the water!!! Which then makes me hungry and I drink more water!! Like a dog chasing it's tail.;) :)
 
i eat sugar free jellly / jello. its like 80% protien and has something silly like 200 cals for 4 litres of the stuff. Add a little sweetner and its a calorie free cheat almost

Sugar freek/fat free Jello and Crystal Light seems to help me.
 
if it's unbearable, usually one tsp of natural peanut butter works well for me. all you gotta do after the tsp is not eat another one, and ride out the desire for more for about 20 minutes until your stomach realises it's there. also, since i have a fat/sodium tooth and not a sweet tooth a cup of just beef broth (5 calories) takes care of it too.

Tons of lettuce, tomato, cilantro, spinach, brocolli with some olive oil helps me to fiber up and feel less hungry. I use metamucil now and then...
 
i just clear out everything inn my house that i cant eat....

in my fride now there is 15 dozen eggs, 4lbs of new york steaks, steak sause, a whole lotta ruffage and veggies, and some almond butter, and some salmon... thants it... it make my decision making a lot easier (stricter) while dieting....

my girl dosent eat a lot of anything but egg wts and salads, so its good for her too.... (at least i like think so, she is getting pretty clever about hiding snacks for herself around the house, i found a "grandmas" cookie in her sock droor the other day!)

in my fride now there is 15 dozen eggs, 4lbs of new york steaks, steak sause, a whole lotta ruffage and veggies, and some almond butter, and some salmon... thants it... it make my decision making a lot easier (stricter) while dieting....

my girl dosent eat a lot of anything but egg wts and salads, so its good for her too.... (at least i like think so, she is getting pretty clever about hiding snacks for herself around the house, i found a "grandmas" cookie in her sock droor the other day!)

cycle your carbs, even in the offseason. the day you have high carbs stuff yourself but use clean carbs, oatmeal,rice,whole wheat pasta ect.
then youll be ready to drop to a lowcarb day then a med.
it seems to work well, and when the weekend comes take a day to enjoy yourself, youll be bloated and uncofortable and ready to diet the next day.

I have to get rid of the almonds or cashews when dieting. 30grs just makes me want more!!!

Psyllium is great added to water. Fills you up & its all fiber

THAT'S REALLY FUNNY! I KNOW SOMEONE WHO HIDES FOOD FROM ME....BECAUSE I'LL EAT ALL THE FOOD FROM THE STORE IN ONE DAY OTHERWISE! LOL. RIGHT NOW...I'LL HIDE STUFF ...SUBWAY COOKIE WRAPPERS CAN'T GO IN THE GARBAGE....THEN SHE'LL KNOW I ATE THEM! I'LL HAVE TO TRY THE SOCKS!

RIGHT NOW IT'S COAT POCKETS, WHICH I EMPTY AT SCHOOL! SECRETS OUT......LOL


WHEN I AM ACTUALLY DIETING, TRYING TO LEAN UP....THE KEY FOR ME IS TO STAY BUSY AND DON'T BUY ANYTHING I SHOULDN'T EAT.

Ditto, if you don't have it you can't eat it.
