Where to find the best deals on commercial gym Equip. New/Used

I'm opening a small studio and have run into a stand still in my hunt. I know the peices that I want but I seem to be getting hit on DBs, freight and delivery and inst.

|---[\\\\]>--------- well rob, as you and i discussed last week, you know i took have aquired a gym back home so im in the hunt for equipment as well. i was looking for db's and fortunately, i have a good friend w/ a huge wharehouse full of equipment and dbs for me to use, so im going that route, but as i was searching i realized its stupid to buy new ones. there are so many ppl out there that get into the gym biz and realize they no nothing about the biz and need to sell their equpment so i was finding lots of good deals. you are right though, shipping/freight will kill ya, so taht is why i suggest renting a Ryder truck and just drving out to get what you want. it would be a lot cheaper. r u getting rid of all the body master stuff in that room? i never liked it. hammer strength has good cable machines now. all of the new golds in vegas have them now...real smooth.

Check out ebay, I looked for a leg press for 6 months, and finally found one.
Many times you will see entire gyms for sale on there. If you are patient you can get some really good deals, I have a friend who put together his entire gym, by using ebay and also Craigs list. Renting the truck is an excellent idea,
also get plenty of dollies, to help move things around.

BBA, I was kind of thinking of renting a truck and bringing it back myself. I've found some stuff in Cali off of Craigslist. New Dumbbells are what have been the most expensive for sure.

|---[\\\\]>---------- im surprised some of those yuppie trainers up in sottsdale dont use that thing in their workouts..i have seen some stupid shit from trainers up there...no offense robroy..obviously i u are not aprt of this 'group' LOL...i saw one trainer try to get his clinet to do db squats on an ab ball! r u kidding me?
