Sounds like you are eating foods that dont compliment your constitution. Try eating some other foods or take a digestive enzyme. Also, any time you make a drastic change in diet, gas can be a temporary symptom.
really! i prob burp and fart like over 60 times a day each one. what are the main cuases of this, high or low gi carbs, protien, insulin maybe?
The more food I eat the more I find myself burping and farting. The fart/burp count goes down significantly when I'm dieting though. My gf doesn't mind because she farts and burps in front of me as well.
Ruhl is that you?

Anyway.. I've had the problem.. I'm trying to think back what I did differently back then. I know I ate almost twice the calories I do know (and yes, my waist was bigger because of it).... which meant more carbs and fat.. but also more protein. (I've cut down from 2g/lb to 1g/lb)
I'm in the middle of helping my current gf reduce her gas problems. Have you tried searching the internet for causes? There are foods that you do, and conversely don't, expect to see on the lists. Milk is a likely suspect, most of the time. Also, try experimenting... how soon does the gas start after you eat? If you get gas immediately after eating, my theory is that it's the food you just ate that's causing it, but only because of trial and error do I believe this. I always thought that gas was caused by bacteria in the large intestine, and that it took hours for food to get to that point. There is also a body reflex to think about, which I have conveniently forgotten the name of. Basically, it causes the bowels to move after consuming quantities of food (to make room, I'm assuming). So let's go back to my initial gas theory, if you will. Try eating the same meal that causes gas, but start taking out different ingredients to see if that changes anything. Then, try eating the missing ingredient with something else that doesn't cause gas, and see if it causes gas. You understand? I did this for a few weeks going to subway with my gf, and it worked. We are still working on other things, because truthfully, she's a gas bag and is always having problems. I think it might be IBS for her, but that's another conversation in and of itself. It's fucked up that she farts so much, honestly. But you probably know where I'm coming from. Farts are gods shitty joke, imo. I hate them.
