whole food or whey etc post workout ?

ive only ever used liquid carbs/protein pwo but have seen a few pros etc mention that they prefer whole food pwo ,what your oppinions on this ?

I personally use whey and glutamine

I can honestly say the more " really" big guys I talk to, the more I learn about whole food pwo, and it seems to be working for them.

thats pretty much the way I do things and the way I advice people. I am happy with the way things are, I am a massive supplement person compared to some. I see and hear more and more how the bigger guys just eat whole food and add EAA or LBA's through the day. I get it, just don't do it personally.

any whole food PWO people want to share their thoughts?
 
i think dat has a section in his sticky thats points out some good benefits to a preworkout shake vereses pwo. i have just started trying a shake pre and glutamine and whole food post. and in the 70s,an 80s, i was told always have a pre/w shake even if have a post/w shake.
 
I've been eating only whole foods PWO for about two months now.
There have been no negative effects at all.

I hope your joking. All that sat fat everyday is really going to add up.
 
yeah i currently have a small meal pre wo and a shake pwo ,i may change this around ,is it just being anal or is it gona make a difference ?
 

If you like that I strongly encourage you and anyone else to read the whole thread. It takes some time as it is very long but worth the time.

I also would like to point out that you DO NOT have to be using peptides to take a wealth of applicable information from that thread.

Back on topic I use whole food about 75% of the time. The other 25% I am in a rush so I take a shake with whey iso and some coconut oil or mac nut oil. I also eat an hour or 1.5 hour later but when in a rush this may be eating out. I have become real adept at eating out but not blowing my diet. You have to get creative but it can be done.

yes this is more like what people have been saying. I get my protein pretty cheap and it is really easy just to throw it together and put it in my gym bag, I know quite a few lads who compete here in the UK and more and more I see them eating only whole foods especially pwo, sitting in the gym eating chicken and brown rice, and looking really good on it too, and I must say it looks a little more tasty that liquid whey.

I think I might give it a go and see if i notice any big changes.
