how many of you get the winter blues? lack of motivation, carb cravings you dont usually have. the desire to vegitate constantly in front of the tv. shorter daylight hours suck. i freakin hate it. the wind chill has been a consistent -20" for the past 3 days. 4 more years i am outta here and headed south.:(

I am right there with you......Just got six inches of snow yesterday....I have never been more excited to travel to LA for work in two weeks for a whole week to get out of this whether....lol...

i know just what you mean.... i have no motivation to do anything! being stuck in the house all the time really takes its toll on you. the worst thing is how dry it is. every night i would wake up with a bloody nose. i got a humidifier recently and it seems to help. i'm moving south the first chance i get.

i hear ya on the skin thing. i had pretty bad wind burn all over my face this weekend. i seal semi-trailers on a shipping dock and the wind shoots up between the semi and the doc door, hits ya right in the face. i was so cold this weekend everytime i sealed a trailor it would take my breath away. didnt help i did 54 trailers between 5pm and 6am:mad:

Damn Edge I feel ya bro, this cold weather is killin me! my quad that I tore a few months ago hurts like a mother, it's sub zero every morning, and I have a crap load of work that I have to get done and dont feel like doing anything but going to florida!
I workout at 5 am and it's damn hard to get out of bed when its friggin freezing! Just gotta keep going though!

I actually train better in the winter. I think it's due to the density of the air. To this day I have yet to train a single day in July or August . The cold here in Jersey is getting to me however with the shaved head and all. I can't wait until March 16, as simone and I are outta here again, heading for St. Martin again for another 2 weeks. Ahhhhhh... Simone's boobies on a nude beach...

Move to Arizona!! Don't mean to rub it in but I am getting ready to go in the backyard and lay out at my pool in 80 degree sunshine.

I still get the winter blues at times when we have a period of cold weather in the 50's but that is only sporadically for a couple of months of the year. I grew up on the east coast and winters used to kill me but now I don't dread them near as bad.

Now that would suck! Is there alot of opportunity for you to move with your company?

I hear ya though about the blues. I have been in a "mood" for about a month and just cant seem to shake it. I feel as though Im starting to come out of my funk a little....hopefully.

At least you weren't working the past few days with it being 0 degrees or lower!

there is i can pretty much move anywhere but california with my current company. gotta get the kid thru high school 1st though, i dont think a big move like that would be good for him at his age. he has lots of friends, sports and other things here he is attached to. florida is a big possibility, i like arizona but get the feeling i would have to learn spanish and i refuse to have to learn another language just to work in my own country, sorry if that offends anyone. monday morning when i left work it was 2" factoring the wind-chill is was 16 below and the wind was blowing hard.

Personally I like the south but after living in Atlanta for 4 years, I couldn't wait to get out. I actually love the "big city" but the freakn humidity was horrible. I didnt want to go out at all during the summer. I felt like I was walking into "sticky" air when I did.

I think west (AZ) is a good possibility for me some day :D

thanks bulldog, he is actually my step-son but i have raised since he was about 4 years old so i consider him my own. little shit is in 8th grade and already taller than me , not that that is saying very much, lol. drinks muscle milk like it is water and does dumbell curls in the basement, gotta love kids.

Thats too funny! Does he listen to Motley Crue, Poison and Guns N Roses......oh shit I've said too much! What sports is he involved in?

BTW, whats he think about your obsession with this sport. Im wondering, cause I'd like to have an idea what my son is going to think one of these days.

Winter here in Alaska means very short days and very long nights. And in southeast AK, where I'm currently at even when it is daytime there is not much in the way of sunshine because it is snowing or raining.

I have found that tanning at least once a week really helps keep the serotonin levels stable, keeping SAD at bay. Training hard enough to get my endorphin fix and keeping my testosterone levels jacked up makes a big difference too.

I personally dont see how anyone can do that. A friend of a friend is going up there to work for a while and said it was something like 40 below..........crazy!

basketball, track, football. and he does listen to some of the old stuff, lol.

ya know i am not sure what he thinks about me size wise. he is not dumb and i am sure his friends have said things to him about it. when i met him he and his mom practically had nothing. now that he is alittle older i think seeing what i have done for him and his mom he respects me. its funny to watch them change, wait till he hits puberty dude, wow. its scary to think he is gonna wanna be driving my cars in a couple short years, oh god. and man the girls are way more forward than they were 20 years ago, sheesh.

ya know what the hardest part is mainevent. always having a kitchen drawer full of snack cakes and chips for the kids lunch, i hate it. the drawer talks to me at night.

I can see it now....I'll be hitting you up for fatherly advise in a few years instead of the "secret" to bodybuilding.
