I've recently been able to visit a few diffrent gyms in my general area and I keep seeing the same thing over and over. This was something that I myself struggled with when I fist started. I'm talking about training I see a lot of folks that are resorting to AAS and such because their not seeing gains. Well they soon find out that they arent making the progress they want. The problem is these guys just dont know how to train. They dont know what exercises work wich muscle groups they dont do any of the basics except bench press. Also their intensity levels are for shit. The thing that bothers me the most is that they have no clue. They think they are doing every thing right and then come the excuses.
I just thought I would start a thread that gives some of the basics for training.
such as.....
Squats, deadlifts, and bench press not just BP but squats and deadlifts guys.
This is what you should base your training around. There are other mass lifts that you can add such as t-bar rows but those are the basics.
As far as intensity levels well start by not talking while training for most its just an excuse for being lazy and resting more that you should.
Try to trian harder than the last day every day you lift. Dont concetrate on the weight so much as the muscle your working. I see a lot of bad form just from guys trying to lift too heavy. This is also why you see a lot of join problems. Personally I chose heavy weight for reps of 12-15 3-5 sets with the last set maximum intesity and hopefully I'll get 6 reps with that.
There's so much more and the only reason I know this stuff is from trial and error. I had to make these mistakes to learn from them. Everyones made them at one time or another. Point is to move on and stop making them.
Everyone's seem to be wanting to learn what the latest supplement or AAS combination can do, but no ones willing to learn a little about training harder.
I think a lot of it has to do with our ego's we dont want to let anyone know that we dont know everything.
Well I'm willing to say that I also dont know everything so if anyone has something they would like to add as far as training post away.
