I was just watching this in the trenches with Ben White, and he says he trains each body part twice perday, twice a week. I'm not interested in trying this routine, as I know there is no shot in hell my body could handle it, but do you think this would really work for some people, or just genetic freaks? I was really perplexed when he said he does the same muscle group twice a day twice a week, but I'm not gonna doubt him, obviously its worked great for him. Just wonderin and curious what you guys think.
 
I checked that vid out and man, that sounds flat out crazy BUT he did win the USA and it seems to work for him. I know when I first picked up a weight, almost everyone was doing the twice a day split thing and my first workouts were like way, way more frequency than later or now - though, back then guys were not as big as today. Back then, probably a 5' 10" guy was generally weighing in around 225 or 230 and considered "pro sized" whereas today, hell, EVERYBODY is bigger (back then there wasn't even a super-heavy class in the NPC). Personally, I like to move the heavy weights, and for me that means less frequency - sure, intensity and high volume are there after my initial heaviest movements but each muscle trains (directly) never more than once a week. And, as I get older I am basically realizing I'm forced to accept that my enjoyment of the fringe powerlifting stuff is having to be curtailed because it makes me more prone to injury after so many years.

But back to the whole point - it apparently is doing the job for him.

The last three words here is pretty much your answer. personally I
would never follow that program.
