5 Navy seals being charged? WTF!

I dont know if I am the only one who just gets sick to their stomach by hearing this, but it made me ill when it was on the news the other day. There were 5 Seals stationed in the middle east (I don't remember where exactly) that have been brought home and charged with using 'advanced interrogation' techniques for alleging punching a known terrorist in the face while trying to get intel out of him.

First off- if you have seen the Navy seal show on T.V. and the rigor they go through to get in that elite group they ought to be immune or excluded from these sorts of things happen to them or being brought upon them.. They don't sleep for a week and are run through hell and back the whole time........ 2nd These young lads are risking their LIFE for the country over there and this is how we decide to repay them? I cannot make any sense out of this?! From the story I gather they got ahold of a known terrorist and were trying to get info from him, TERRORist is the key word there. These are the same people who killed so many in the 911 attacks, and have tried so many times since then to kill more. These Seals are doing their job trying to get information from this terrorist to protect the freedoms of the USA and he is stripped of his service, brought home and will be tried on this Bullshit. I can not image how double crossed they must feel?

Do any of you have more info on this story to make any sense of it? As far as I'm concerned these Navy Seals should be able to slap, punch, kick, get a fucking blow torch and tweezers and take it to these bastards if they feel it necessary. What is happening to them is so sad. I cant imagine being in that situation and the feelings going on inside those poor young men.

Its bullshit man! I seriously sat there and almost wept when I heard it the other day. If I was a military recruiter I would feel so stupid. "come on board boys, this is how we treat our elite fighting force!"

Makes you wonder if dropping a nuke and starting over would be less expensive, faster, more effective huh?

The SEALs are the finest men that the military has to offer. Each man represents YEARS of intense training (with over a 95% washout rate) and MILLIONS of dollars spent in training.

They're warriors, not peacekeepers. This Obama Administration is going to ruin the military. Just last month a group of US Marines in Afghanistan was ambushed and pinned down, suffering a huge number of wounded, 19 of their Afghan security forces were killed, and 4 of the Marines. They were denied air support for several hours that could have saved their lives, despite being repeatedly told "it'll be there in 5 minutes"-- SOLELY because the Obama Admin set down new guidelines designed to "minimize Afghan casualties" that prevented air strikes if there was a "village" in a certain radius...

I agree navy seals or any other special ops forces should be immune from civil criminal charges or any charges for that matter as long as they were in a war zone. I mean unless they are caught on video shooting civilians or something. Poor Mr. Terrorist got a bloody lip -- boo-hoo. He's the guy if I'm not mistaken that butchered and hung American soldiers (might have been contract security) from a bridge in Iraq. You don't think I'm not for wiping these guys out?
